De CONTINENTAL GRAND PRIX 5000 700c Tubetype Zachte band is de opvolger van de veelgeprezen Grand Prix 4000S II. Het Duitse merk heeft een product ontworpen dat gebruikt kan worden voor zowel training als races, en op zowel natte als droge wegen.

De Grand Prix 5000 bestaat uit drie lagen en is ontworpen om prestaties, grip en weerstand te combineren, zonder het comfort uit het oog te verliezen. Voor een uitzonderlijke wegligging is de band ontworpen met Lazer Grip technologie. Deze set van kleine structuren aan de zijkant van de band zorgt voor maximale grip, zelfs in bochten op nat wegdek. Voor optimale prestaties heeft Continental de Black Chill technologie opnieuw ontwikkeld. 

Op het gebied van comfort en weerstand maakt de GP 5000 gebruik van Active Comfort, dat trillingen absorbeert, en de Vectran Breaker, die is ontworpen met synthetische vezels die de band zeer goed bestand maken tegen lekrijden terwijl het gewicht onder controle blijft.
